Gather is one of the oldest social service agencies in the nation.  Founded in 1816 by fishermen’s wives in Strawberry Bank to help feed their neighbors, today the agency provides food for over 7,000 meals/pantry visits per month. It serves constituents from over 50 towns in the Seacoast area.

The Covid pandemic tripled our community’s need for Gather’s services; at the same time, covid restrictions made it challenging to meet this need and significantly hobbled Gather’s traditional fundraising efforts. Gather’s staff and equipment have been stretched to the limit and we need to urgently raise funds to make up for lost time and meet the increased and continued demand.  The pantry shelves and warehouses need daily restocking, and our aging trucks, kitchen and facility equipment require maintenance and, in many cases, replacement.
